Member Spotlight: Molly Lamb

FROM COACH PETE: Molly is apart of a special group that means a lot to me. She was here for our 1st class over 5 years ago at our first location. We may have had humble beginnings but Molly believed in our mission and has helped make that mission a reality. The growth Molly has gone through is a direct result of her making a goal and sticking too it with dedication and commitment.  She made up her mind to be the best version of herself and I have no doubt that she will do just that. Molly, I thank you for your commitment to this community and for being here with us through all the ups and downs. Your contributions to helping make this community so amazing has not gone unnoticed. I appreciate you!

1 – What is your “why”? What gets you out of bed in the morning?
This was definitely a choice and decision I had made for myself years ago. It was a vision I had and then became a purpose. Chasing after that strong confident woman/partner I wanted to be for myself. Which turned into a lifestyle change for me. Overall, I wanted to be a better person for myself and continue to strive on that path… Definitely Worth it!
2 – If you could accomplish 1 thing in the next 10 years, athletically or professionally, what would that be?
It’s hard to choose one thing. I have many! I Still want to be Fit and Healthy Doing what I love. Surrounded by great people who continue to support my growth and bring my best out. If I had to choose one it would be Exploring a national Park.
3 – What brought you to Roaster Barbell?
It was definitely the people. I’ve known some of them already. I went to school with my coach and he already had a future plan in place for Roaster Barbell. Happy I stepped foot into those boot camps in the beginning! I’ve been consistent ever since Roaster Barbell opened. The coaching and programing, I’ve seen results not only in myself, but within the community at Roaster Barbell. Love how everyone cheers everyone on and helps each other aim for their goals. Plus, I wanted some variety into my workout routine!
4 – What is your favorite thing to do in the gym?
Weight lifting! Especially those bicep curls and deadlifts.
5 – What is your least favorite thing in the gym?
I’d have to go with wallballs.
6 – If you would meet anyone in history and have lunch with them, who would it be and why?
Well, I will never forget his smile. Heath Ledger. He had a gift and a talent not many actors had which made him stand out. I would love to have a conversation with him about his films over lunch with a view.
7 – How has your training in the gym impacted your life outside of the gym?
It has helped enhance my confidence, make me a better leader and an example for others who are just starting out in the fitness world.
8 – In your opinion, what is the most important aspect of life?
Mental health without a doubt. It doesn’t get much buzz. I am happy the awareness is around it now. It’s something I feel everyone needs to be aware of. A good mindset is key if you want change. It doesn’t happen overnight. Health would be another one. Taking care of yourself.
9 – If you could be any professional CF Games Athlete, who would you be and why?
This is a fun one! I love her athleticism and drive. I’d have to say Brooke Wells. I love that we both have blonde hair!
10 – What aspects of health and fitness do you find most difficult and why?
Finding that balance with nutrition and your workout routine. Eating enough and right foods. Definitely a practice. Better than it was before. The better you eat, better your workouts are and feel.
11 – If you had the choice, would you rather have infinite strength, or infinite cardiovascular endurance?   Infinite of strength! I like that feeling of being powerful and strong
12 – What would you say to someone that asks you about the gym and was looking to get started?
I would say try it out! The coaching is great and the community makes you feel welcome!
13 – Do you have anything else you would like to add?
I am very happy I chose Roaster Barbell as my consistent home gym and remember, trust the process. Remember to enjoy it! Your competition is in the mirror.
