Welcome to the 2023 Roaster Scramble!
The graphic above shows your tee times and cart assignments. There is no requirement to arrive by a specific time but you should arrive about 30 min prior to your tee time if possible to allow yourself to get ready without feeling rushed. We will be playing Legacy which is located at Sweetbriar Golf Club. The address is 750 Jaycox Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012. When you arrive, there is no need to check-in at the clubhouse. Simply find your team’s cart with your name on it and load up your bag. All of our carts will be set aside. There is a driving range that should be open as well as a putting green.
Lunch will be provided for you as well as water. You have the choice to pick up your food at the snack bar either before your tee time or after the 9th hole is completed. You may bring snacks or other beverages but alcohol must be purchased from the golf course.
**Scramble Rules**
- 4 Mulligans may be purchased for $20 cash/venmo prior to your tee time. Each player will be allowed 1 of the 4 mulligans. Venmo @petetaylor10
- Men will play from the Black Tees (6557 yds). Women will play from the White Tees (5478 yds). No exceptions.
- After all 4 players hit their tee shot, the group will choose the best ball and then hit from that location within 1 club length no closer to the hole with a similar lie. You cannot move from the rough to the fairway. Continue like this until the hole is completed. All putts from the same spot. All putts must fall, there are no gimmes. Balls hit out of bounds (white stakes) are ineligible to be played. Balls hit into hazards (red stakes) may be played if you must but it’s not a good idea because it will require a drop. Your team may concede a hole and mark down a triple bogey if necessary. A triple bogey will be the max score.
- Men’s and Women’s longest drive contest will be on hole 5. Your tee shot must remain in the fairway to be eligible.
- Closest to the pin contest will be on hole 13. Your tee shot must remain on the green to be eligible.
- You only need to keep 1 scorecard, please turn it in to Suzi at the end of your round.
After your group is finished, we will be gathering at the deck behind the 9th green. You are welcome to order food or drinks and hangout while the groups finish up. Be sure to turn in your score card to Suzi.
